AllThingsStrings is the online home of Strings magazine. Founded in 1985, Strings is the magazine for players of bowed stringed instruments. Strings readers make music, and they make music an integral part of their daily lives. Strings helps them do both, by covering the personalities, music, news, events, instruments, and gear that matter. Strings provides global coverage of the classical and new music played by most of its readers while exploring all musical genres where string players are active. For teachers and students, amateurs and professionals, Strings is the authority.
Strings is published by String Letter Publishing, established in 1985, and headquartered in San Rafael, California. String Letter Publishing also publishes Strings Charts, a popular sheet music series. These charts, accompanied by helpful instruction and performance notes, are drawn from rock, jazz, and roots music 'alternative styles'.
String Letter Publishing also publishes Acoustic Guitar, the magazine for all acoustic guitar players; as well as instructional and reference books for musicians, including Private Lesson Books and Backstage Books.
